Yes. Lucero carries an IP67 rating: fully sealed against dust and protected against immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. That covers swimming, rain, river crossings, and muddy trail runs. Radar sensing is contactless and reads a wet coat much the same as a dry one, so a soaked dog does not leave a hole in the day of readings.

A boundary is drawn in the app as GPS geometry rather than a buried wire or a base station, so you can set one at a trailhead or a friend's property in under a minute and remove it when you leave. If your dog crosses it, the notification goes to your phone. Nothing is sent to the collar: Lucero has no shock, no spray, and no tone for containment.

Yes. The radar reads heart rate, respiratory rate, HRV, and motion continuously through fur, so effort during a climb is recorded as it happens rather than reconstructed afterward. The 6-axis IMU sorts running from swimming from play so the numbers land in the right context. The post-hike view then shows distance, active time, and recovery, which is the part worth sharing with your vet.
